Welcome to the South Island Wine & Food Festival 2024 – our 14th annual instalment. We’re proud to present this event in partnership with Singapore Airlines.
This year, we’re back with dozens of the names and faces that made the South Island a world-renowned collection of winemaking regions. It’s clear from the vibrant collection of South Island wineries joining us today – numbering close to 40 wineries – that the strength of our region is continuing to flourish.
Exciting new additions for 2024 include the brand new Mumm Champagne Lawn, presented by G.H Mumm and the Terroirs range. Enjoy sparkling prepared in the traditional style using grapes from Marlborough and Central Otago. Or if a touch of class is more your style, snap up a GH Mumm Grand Condon Champagne! Peroni make their first appearance with the Peroni Beer Garden where you can snap up a glass of Italy’s finest. Or cleanse the pallet with a refreshing tipple from the Scapegrace Cocktail Bar.

2024 sees the introduction of our brand new MoreFM Restaurant Showcase – an exciting exploration through some of the regions favourite restaurants where plates large and small will tantalise the tastebuds. If street eats are more your style, we’ve curated a moreish selection of food trucks that will be sure to pair well with your favourite tipple.
For those eager to expand their wine and food knowledge, the Avenues Magazine Cooking Theatre or the famous Wine Seminar Lounge will be the perfect stop on your festival journey. With five exciting, and FREE workshops across the day, what will you discover – it could revolutionise your summer hosting! No Wine & Food Festival would be complete without groovin’ tunes from exceptional local Kiwi musicians. Hollie Smith and Lou’ana make highly anticipated returns to Canterbury stages, while acclaimed NZ pop-rock act Drax Project cap off on exceptional first weekend of Summer.
The South Island is a responsible host, and we encourage you to sample your way through our winemakers with 40mL sample serves marked on each souvenir glass. Don’t forget to make use of the wine-check system to purchase bottles or cases to take home with you when you leave. Winery staff can assist you with this process.
