The land was arid and deserted.  The brothers made wine.  James and Matt Dicey are brothers from a pioneering winemaking family who make wine in the harsh, unforgiving landscape of Bannockburn, Central Otago.

Eradus Wines – 18

The Awatere Valley is windy, dry, stony and harsh, with hot days and cold nights that create extraordinary wines. Those extremes are heightened at the exposed Breloft Vineyard, where vines teeter at the edge of the Awatere River, buffeted by winds from the nearby Pacific Ocean. They dig their roots deep through rocky soils to survive, and produce wines of elegance, with a minerality and crisp clean acidity that are unique to our sliver of land in the heart of the Awatere Valley.

Named after New Zealand’s prolific bedrock, Greywacke is the label of the Judd family. The Greywacke range is primarily based on sauvignon blanc and pinot noir, the sauvignon blanc being produced in two distinctly different styles.
